| Business Decisions: |
| The Environment Business specialises in evaluating
the business impact of environmental issues. This includes
monitoring regulation, assessing opportunities, and risk
analysis. |
| Members of The Environment Business work with companies
to shape their environmental policies, resulting in more
effective strategies, lower
environmental impact and often cost savings. |
| We have developed a suite of tools to help companies
assess the costs and benefits of emissions targets. This
builds on the work commissioned by the DETR modelling
the effects of incentives
for companies to sign up to an emissions trading scheme.
The Environment Business is uniquely able to advise companies
on the whether they should sign up to such a scheme. We
regularly run workshops
on the how companies should approach the issues involved.
|
| Assessing the impact of any environmental issue or
policy requires an understanding of the interaction between
the costs to the business and its potential benefits.
This requires including the likely reactions of competitors
and other businesses to these issues. We specialise in
building models of these processes which can include the
likely price of, for example, markets
in emissions permits and how this can affect individual
decision making. |
